The first European network of regulatory consultancy companies active in the fertiliser sector is born. The Fertiliser Consultants Network (FCN) is now online, at www.fertcon.net you can find information about each member and the provided services.

The Network has been created in response to the growing need of the companies, involved in plant nutrition to expand their market. For companies wishing to expand their business, FCN can provide assistance in almost all of Europe, North Africa, South America, Russia, India and China.

Within a few years, new regulations will apply in the European Union and in other important Countries and it needs to be prepared for new challenges in sectors such as Biostimulants, Basic Substances, Agronomic Additives and, in general, Biologicals.

In India, every manufacturer or importer of a biostimulant shall be required to make an application for provisional registration latest by 23rd August 2021. Moreover, the new EU regulation on Mutual Recognition has also come into force and Companies can proactively take advantage and generate sales registrations, waiting for the new rules. Several European countries are already applying this regulation to authorise the sale of fertilising products that are already authorised and being sold in another EU country. Currently, the process takes 2-5 months, depending on the country, with different fees and documentation to be submitted.

Highly specialised local experts with knowledge of both national and EU regulations can adequately assist companies wishing to take advantage of these new opportunities.

The Fertiliser Consultants Network will also attend to the most important international events on plants nutrition and will organise advanced courses on regulatory issues. Next 29th June, as example, the Network team will provide an international free webinar on both EU and National legislations on fertiliser and biological products.

The network is open to new collaborations in order to continue to expand the coverage areas and to consolidate local partnerships.

Current FCN members are: Artemisa, Auxilife Scientific Services, Openagri, Silc Fertilizzanti, Sun Chemical Services and VoxGaia.
