Pessl Instruments GmbH acquires Solentum products

In March HZPC Holding B.V. announced to stop with the business activities of Solentum B.V.. Pessl Instruments GmbH will take over some of the products of Solentum B.V. as of May 1, 2021.This was agreed upon by Pessl Instruments and Solentum B.V. last week.

Herman Verveld, commercial director HZPC: "Since 2019 Solentum B.V. and Pessl Instruments have been working together on digitaization of agriculture services. Also based on that cooperation Pessl will acquire the products SolGrader and SolAntenna from Solentum to continue further product development. As HZPC, we are pleased with this agreement from several perspectives. We are pleased that customers can continue to work with Solentum’s products. In addition, Pessl Instruments has a good reputation and high international coverage. The company is a pioneer in digitalization with 36 years of experience in the development and sale of hardware and software products for the agricultural sector. With this, we guarantee future innovations and improvements of Solentum products."

CEO/Founder Gottfried Pessl: “The SolGrader and SolAntenna from Solentum B.V. will fit perfectly into the existing hard- and software product lines because we offer our clients, worldwide, a comprehensive solution from the fields to the storage rooms. The SolGrader app will be used in combination with our weather stations, disease models, satellite images, portable nutrition and soil moisture sensors to estimate the calibration and yield in the fields. The SolAntenna is a very innovative and useful device to monitor temperature, relative humidity and CO2 in the storage rooms without electric infrastructure and alert the farmer when there is a problem in a particular area of the storage, in real time.”

Solentum's current Managing Director Egbert Bakker will make the switch to Pessl Instruments through this acquisition as Product-Sales Manager BeNeLux and Northern Europe and product specialist of Solentum's products.

Meanwhile all relations of Solentum B.V. have been informed about this decision.
