Flagchem begins work on lufenuron, spirotetramat project, worth Yuan2.5 billion

Chinese agrochemical company Flagchem's subsidiary Ningyitai Technology Co., Ltd recently launched the construction of its annual 15,500-ton novel pesticide technical project with a total investment of Yuan2.5 billion, covering an area of 417 mu (1 hectare equal to 15 mu).

Founded in July 2020, Anhui Ningyitai Technology Co., Ltd is located in Anhui (Huaibei) at the coal-based New Chemical Material Base. 

Once the project becomes fully operational, the company will generate annual sales of Yuan4 billion, taxes of Yuan200 million and offer 800 jobs.

The EIA report of the project shows it will take six years to complete and will be implemented in two phases. The company will annually produce fluroxypyr-mepthyl (3,000 tons), lufenuron (3,000 tons), spirotetramat (1,000 tons), flumioxazin (1,000 tons), saflufenacil (1,000 tons), topramezone (500 tons), 精噁唑甘草胺(a self-developed compound) (1,500 tons), Isoxaflutole (1,000 tons), carfentrazone (500 tons) and isoxadimefon (3,000 tons).

According to the project chief of Anhui Ningyitai Technology, the civil construction will be completed by the end of July and the equipment installation will be completed by the end of December. In January next year, commissioning of phase I will start and cover the production annually of 1,000 tons of flumioxazin, 3,000 tons of lufenuron, 1,000 tons of spirotetramat and 1,000 tons of Isoxaflutole.
