Acting as a member of Germains' North America Senior Management Team, Walsh will lead the Commercial Horticulture Team that consists of both Sales and Customer Service teams.

With over 20 years of experience in the seed and produce industry, Walsh has long been focused on developing technical solutions that maximize seed genetic performance to growers. In his new role, Walsh will focus on commercial delivery of Germains' New Product Pipeline as well as current and longer-term strategic growth plans.

"After spending several years leading the development of seed genetics to improve crop performance and grower profitability, I am enthusiastic for the opportunity to combine my seed industry experience with seed technologies," said Walsh. "I’ve always believed that seed genetics stacked with cutting-edge seed treatments provide an ideal technical solution to maximize a crop's potential and grower profitability."

This addition to Germains Commercial Team is a critical step in the company's plans to solidify its position as a leader in the seed industry. "Kevin is considered an expert and a visionary by his former colleagues, and we are lucky to have someone of his caliber amongst our ranks," said Cathy Farr, Business Director for Germains Seed Technology, North America. "This role will also provide him the opportunity to work collaboratively across all Germains sites. We are confident that he will be supported and welcomed by all."
