In a detailed interview, the management of Dhanuka Agritech sounded very bullish on the prospects of the entire agricultural space in India and also was enthused by the developments and decisions taken by the government to aid the growth of smaller farmers to ensure a better crop price.

They mentioned that the range of insecticides was playing a crucial role in the overall scheme of agricultural improvement in India.

There has been tremendous growth in the herbicide, pesticide, and fungicide industry in India in recent times. Despite that as per them, they believe that the pesticides industry in India is still minor compared to major markets like China and other developed nations.

Management believes that the scope for growth in the entire space from India players both in India and for exports is tremendous. They believe that government initiatives are very important for growth of the agri-infrastructure in India and also said that it was a great move by the Indian government to free agricultural output from the clutches of a single market.

Rising crude prices and weakening rupees impact raw material costs to the agricultural industry also as per them seen as a minor setback.

However, they still sounded optimistic due to their varied output range. They believe that with availability of infrastructure, farmers are in a position to buy and sell for distant markets as well and even smaller farmers are understanding the importance of pesticides for their crops.
