Grain harvest in 2011 will make up 36-37 million tons, Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi, Deputy Director General of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation (UAC) told reporters on Thursday.
He noted that judging by today's prices for fertilizers, the amount of mineral fertilizers for farmers will continue to decline, which accordingly will reduce grain yields this year. In 2010 Ukraine harvested 39.3 million tons of cereals and legumes in weight after processing, which is 14.6% less than a year before, when the harvest was 46 million tons.
