Taranis, ag innovator and pioneer in precision scouting, announced the appointment of Bar Veinstein as Chief Executive Officer. Veinstein most recently served as President of Ex Libris, a rapidly growing $200 million global SaaS business. Veinstein will leverage his experience to guide Taranis through its next phase of growth, to deliver precision scouting services across millions of acres, for advisors and growers worldwide.

With unmatched imagery, intelligence, and an easy-to-use interface, Taranis’ customers have real-time access to a wealth of agronomic insights powered by the most advanced technology in the industry. Ofir Schlam, co-founder and current CEO, will stay in his role of President and continue to serve as a board member.

“I am thrilled to welcome Bar to the Taranis team as we continue to focus on scaling the company and driving our innovative agenda into new markets,” said Ofir Schlam, co-founder and current CEO of Taranis. “Bar’s track record will enable us to keep building off our strong foundation to empower growth and address the agronomic challenges our customers face as we usher in this exciting new chapter.”

Veinstein joined Ex Libris in 2010 as senior vice president of cloud solutions to lead the transformation of Ex Libris’ products and business to SaaS. Before joining Ex Libris, Veinstein spent twelve years at NICE Systems (NASDAQ: NICE) in senior product management and marketing leadership roles, at the NICE Americas headquarters in Rutherford, New Jersey.

“Taranis is positioned to thrive in a very competitive market with its one-of-a-kind vision, disruptive AI technology, and exceptional team of experts,” said Bar Veinstein. “I am honored to partner with Ofir and lead the team to ensure our growers and retailers have access to best in-class precision scouting service to help them achieve maximum yield potential and profitability with more efficiency and specificity for their operations.”

“The Board and I are confident in Bar’s ability to grow market share and maintain Taranis’ position as the undisputed leader in precision scouting,” added Zvika Orron, General Partner at Viola Ventures. “As a seasoned leader with significant experience in the technology sector, he will provide a wealth of knowledge and drive agricultural innovation to new heights. We are excited to have him as our next CEO.”
