Fengshan Group opened new research center in Shanghai

Jiangsu Fengshan Group, a leading pesticide company in China, recently announced its operation of a new R&D center located in Shanghai. Totally investment of RMB 20 million, the new 1250 square-meter center will provide multipurpose of quality control, process optimizing and formulation development for Fengshan’s business.

"The new facility brings together three critical elements to Fengshan’s strongly engaged business of organic synthesis, analysis, and development on formulations.” Mr. Wanghonglei, Vice President of Fengshan Group, told Agropages.

The three synthesis laboratories will suffice Fengshan’s demands on process optimization, finding new molecules and measures of waste treatment, thus made the center cater for customized technical services and reservation of some generic ingredients. The GC-MS and LC-MS in their chemical analytical labs enable their abilities of 5 batch analysis, thus the center will undertake quality control of Fengshan’s exported products and some tolling business. For formulation developing, the center was equipped with specialized instruments such as surface tension meter and contact angle meter. Based on Fengshan’s flagship products of trifluralin and quizalofop-p-ethyl, the center will focus on pre-mixed and environmental friendly formulations.
