Sumitomo Chemical has appointed Rogerio Zaccaro as the director of their Agro business in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia, from November 30, 2020.
Zaccaro, a Brazilian, with more than 30 years of experience in the sector, will lead the strategy of positioning Sumitomo Chemical among the most important companies in the region.
Rogerio joined the company in 2007, and led different marketing and commercial areas in different regions. In 2013, he was appointed Country Manager in Colombia, later for Chile and Mexico, and in the last year, he worked in the area of special projects for LATAM.
Rogerio assumes the position with the clear objective of Sumitomo to strengthen the "focus on the customer", through excellent service, helping to meet the needs of the market, bringing innovation, technology and quality within its hybrid solutions. "We want to strengthen our distribution structure, for which we will be strengthening our relationship with each of the links in the production chain, seeking sustainable development in the region," a company press release stated.

Sumitomo Chemical will continue to position itself as an innovative, agile and competitive company, maintaining its focus on research and development, launching innovative chemical and biological molecules, as well as offering a wide portfolio of high-quality post-patent products for our clients,” it stated.
