Valagro, a leading company in the research, development and marketing of biostimulants and other specialty nutrients for crops, has received the Industry Stewardship Champion award from the IFA, the International Fertilizer Association. The prize-giving ceremony took place on 19 November during the IFA Annual General Meeting.
This year 48 IFA members from 40 countries were recognized as Industry Stewardship Champions for their outstanding achievements in product stewardship. Among them Valagro, as new entry, received the gold metal for this recognition. Launched by the IFA in 2019, the initiative was created with the aim of rewarding companies that commit to achieving results in the promotion of excellence within the field of Safety, Health and Environmental protection.
The IFA awards the label of Industry Stewardship Champion to companies in the sector that have adhered to the most recent Safety Performance, Environmental Performance and Energy Efficiency parameters and CO2 Emission standards and that have also been granted IFA Protect & Sustain certification or are in possession of internationally recognized certifications such as ISO, OHSAS or Responsible Care.
The news of the recognition was greeted with great satisfaction by Giuseppe Natale who was recently appointed an IFA Board member.
Giuseppe Natale, Valagro CEO:
"I share the joy of this recognition with all the people of Valagro, because it is proof of their daily commitment and their passion, which makes the company's mission a reality, namely to create a sustainable future for people and the environment. I would also like to thank the IFA: as a Board Member, I am proud to share the association's responsibility to contribute to the creation of a more sustainable and productive form of agriculture, with the shared goal of supporting farmers all over the world to ensure they have access to innovative and effective solutions to produce more with less."
