Canadian agricultural inputs and services distributor Nutrien announced the signing of an agreement to purchase the records of more than 100 pesticides from the Brazilian BRA Agroquímica (BRA) aimed at crops such as soybeans, corn, cotton, sugar cane, produce and coffee.
The products purchased will be marketed under the Loveland brand, Nutrien's own line, a company said in a note. The amounts involved in the negotiation were not disclosed.
"The addition of BRA records to our product line reinforces the commitment to provide the best solutions to meet the needs of our customers," said the President of Nutrien in Latin America, André Dias, in the statement.
The conclusion of the agreement is subject to approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) and the Ministry of Agriculture.
