STK’s REGEV® ‘hybrid’ fungicide “Finalist” in Crop Science Award for “Best Formulation Innovation”

STK bio - ag technologies, Israel’s innovative leader in botanical - based organic and hybrid solutions for sustainable agriculture and aquaculture, announces that REGEV® ‘hybrid’ fungicide has been named “Finalist” in the coveted Crop Science Award 2020 in the category of “Best Formulation Innovation”.

REGEV® is the first "hybrid" fungicide in the world. It is used successfully in over 15 countries in several regions of the world, including the USA, East Asia, and throughout Latin America. REGEV® optimally combines a botanical extract, tea tree oil, with a conventional crop solution (difenoconazole) to combat a broad spectrum of fungal and bacterial diseases. In addition to fungicidal and bactericidal effects, the botanical tea tree oil activates defense mechanisms in plants against pathogens by inducing Systemic Resistance (ISR) and Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR).

The breakthrough formulation of REGEV® allows it to be used exactly like other fungicides, but with the additional benefits of chemical residue reduction, enhanced efficacy and as an important resistance management tool. This easy-to-use fungicide serves as a "bridge" that allows farmers who have never used any biological product to try one, without having to mix, rotate or do something different, thus expanding the use of biological products for sustainable agriculture.

Commenting on being named a “Finalist”, STK VP R & D and Business Development Shay Shaanan said: "We thank the judges for their recognition. REGEV ‘hybrid’ fungicide is a true game-changer. REGEV’s ease-of-use and efficacy will accelerate the ‘megatrend’ toward greater use of biological content for more sustainable agriculture. We already see REGEV attracting current non-users of biological products, including growers of high-value fruits and vegetables and row crops , as well. We even see REGEV as a first biological product choice for broad acre crop growers. Hybrids are the future”.
