Certis USA appointed new Technical Marketing Manager

David Silva becomes Technical Marketing Manager for Certis USA. Armed with 20-plus years experience in California agriculture, pest management and the technical development of new pesticides for use on high-value crops, Silva will cover the biopesticide company's Western Region. In his position, he will handle product planning, positioning and promotion, market and business analysis and product launches.

Silva will report to Tim Damico, Executive V.P. NAFTA for Certis USA, who said Silva's addition to the company comes at an ideal time. "We've added eight products in the last two years and will also introduce two more during the second half of this year. Additional technologies are scheduled to be introduced through 2014. We require our personnel to be among the best-informed and knowledgeable in the industry, and David will help us make that happen in the West," Damico said.

Previously Silva served in similar technical service capacities with AgraQuest, Inc. and Western Farm Service, now Crop Production Services.

Silva holds a B.S. degree in Horticulture and a M.S. degree in Crop Physiology from California State University-Fresno, Fresno, CA. He is a veteran of the Armed Forces, an alumnus of Alpha Gamma Rho and an active Agricultural Ambassador.
