Guangxin to establish indoxacarb, oxadiazon and buprofezin new capacity

Chinese agrochemical company Anhui Guangxin Agrochemical has recently publicized the environmental impact assessment about four of its projects. 

Guangxin plans to build new workshops at its existing plant area in Guangde County, Anhui Province, with an annual capacity of 3,000 tons of indoxacarb, 3,000 tons of oxadiazon, 1,000 tons of oxadiazon phenol, 500 tons of oxadiargyl (phase I and phase II) as well as an annual capacity of 5,000 tons of buprofezin.

According to an announcement from the company, Anhui Guangxin Agrochemical possesses the production capacity of 48,000 tons of phosgene. So far, the company has 39 products in its product portfolio including existing ones, the ones under construction and ones yet to be established. Of these, 32 require light reaction. When all the projects are completed and operated at full load, there will still be surplus phosgene. 

Therefore, taking advantage of the availability of the existing phosgene and phosgene products, the company has decided to launch buprofezin, a phosgene-extended product with an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons.
