Inspire Super fungicide receives EPA approval for use on pome fruit and grapes

Syngenta Crop Protection received approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the use of Inspire Super™ fungicide on pome fruit and grapes. Inspire Super combines two active ingredients, difenoconazole and cyprodinil, to provide growers with effective, reliable control of scab and powdery mildew in pome fruit plus Botrytis in grapes. Additionally, Inspire Super offers the benefit of a flexible 14-day preharvest interval (PHI) on maturing pome fruit, compared to its predecessor Inspire® Super MP fungicide.

The unique premix of the active ingredients difenoconazole, a Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC) Group 3, and cyprodinil, a FRAC Group 9, is a supplement to strobilurin and Succinate Dehydrogenase Inhibitor mixtures. These active ingredients provide complementary activity to control pathogens while offering rapid uptake into the plant due to leaf penetration and the systemic properties of cyprodinil.

State registrations, specific crop and/or pest uses may still be pending in certain states. Check with your state regulatory agency to determine registration status. Inspire Super should not be used on Concord grapes.
