Syngenta Crop Protection received approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the use of Inspire Super™ fungicide on pome fruit and grapes. Inspire Super combines two active ingredients, difenoconazole and cyprodinil, to provide growers with effective, reliable control of scab and powdery mildew in pome fruit plus Botrytis in grapes. Additionally, Inspire Super offers the benefit of a flexible 14-day preharvest interval (PHI) on maturing pome fruit, compared to its predecessor Inspire® Super MP fungicide.

The unique premix of the active ingredients difenoconazole, a Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC) Group 3, and cyprodinil, a FRAC Group 9, is a supplement to strobilurin and Succinate Dehydrogenase Inhibitor mixtures. These active ingredients provide complementary activity to control pathogens while offering rapid uptake into the plant due to leaf penetration and the systemic properties of cyprodinil.

"We are excited to be able to offer pome and grape growers another way to protect their crops against devastating diseases,” said David Laird, fungicide brand manager, Syngenta Crop Protection. “Its triazole combination, broad-spectrum activity and rapid uptake will make Inspire Super a top contender against summer disease, powdery mildew, scabs and leaf spot diseases.”

State registrations, specific crop and/or pest uses may still be pending in certain states. Check with your state regulatory agency to determine registration status. Inspire Super should not be used on Concord grapes.
