Hailir to construct pesticide technical and intermediate project with 40,000-ton annual production

Qingdao Hengning Biotechnology Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hailir Group, held a ground-breaking ceremony at its Pingdu Xinhe Ecological Chemical Technology Industrial Base in China on July 11, 2020.

In an attempt to accelerate the transformation and upgrade, keeping in mind the market situation in 2019, Hailir Group has decided to invest Yuan2 billion on building a new pesticide technical and intermediates production plant with an annual production capacity of 40,000 tons. After the completion of the project, annual sales are expected to reach Yuan6.2 billion, which will generate annual taxes of above Yuan300 million.

The project will establish a new capacity of 40,000 tons of pesticide technical and intermediates including difenoconazole, diafenthiuron, chlorfenapyr and tolfenpyrad as well as the created new compound flubendiamide.

Hailir possesses Asia’s largest neonicotinoid pesticide production base, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of pesticide technical and 50,000 tons of formulations. The newly established Qingdao Hengning Biotechnology Co., Ltd is regarded as Hailir’s new source of growth in the next 10 years.

In 2019, Hailier's annual sales were Yuan2.378 billion, ranking 21st in the list of 2020 China's top 100 pesticide companies.
