During the month of November 2010, China has invested 2.5 billion Yuan on pesticides industry, up by 11.8% year on year, consisting 1.19 billion Yuan on chemical pesticide subindustry, down 0.2% year on year; 1.31 billion Yuan on biopesticide subindustry. Monthly investment on bio-pesticide has exceeded that on chemical pesticide subindustry for the first time.
Cumulative investment on the industry from January to November was 23 billion Yuan, up by 22.8% year on year, the proportion in planned investment was 46.8%, up by 1.6 % year on year. 9.42 billion Yuan was invested on bio-pesticide subindustry, up 27.1%, while 13.53 on chemical pesticide subindustry, posted a more mild growth of 14.5%.
Unlike the amount, the number of invested projects has a muted growth, especially on the new projects. During the period from January to November, 457 invested projects were under constructed, up by 3.4% year on year. The number of the newly undertook projects was 300, down 2.6% from last year, hereinto 188 chemical pesticide projects, down by 17.2%; 112 of biopesticide projects, grown by 38.3% year on year. 237 projects were completed, grown by 20.3%, including 161 chemical pesticides projects, up by 12.6%.
