Sumi Agro Europe, NIK partner to expand precision agriculture business

Sumi Agro Europe Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation (referred to as “SAE”) and NIK group of companies (referred to as “NIK”). SAE and NIK are entering into a partnership agreement, aiming expansion and implementation of the business related to precision agriculture in the Balkans (especially in Bulgaria and Romania) and broadly in Europe & CIS (especially in Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, France, and Germany).

Synergy and innovation are highly expected by combining both companies’ core-competences: NIK’s advanced experience and operational know-how in the precision agriculture space, and SAE’s wide-ranging business platforms and assets for distribution of agricultural-related materials. The ability to share knowledge and experience between the two companies would improve farm productivity and boost precision farming adoption by Sumi Agro and NIK’s clients.
