Syngenta’s fungicide, SWITCH, was authorized for temporary use on actinidia from March 10 to July 7, 2020, in Italy, representing a unique solution available to fruit growers for the protection of the kiwifruit from gray mold infections.

SWITCH is a mixture based on fludioxonil and ciprodinil, two active substances with different mechanisms of action. The synergistic activity of cyprodinil and fludioxonil allows SWITCH to obtain superior results thanks to:

• high and constant effectiveness
• resistance to water washout
• long persistence of action

Technical positioning for the control of actinidia botrytis:

Syngenta recommends applying the product at a dose of 0.8 kg/ha, carrying out a maximum of two applications from the beginning of flowering with a minimum interval between treatments of seven days and using a volume of water equal to 1000 l/ha.

The original Italian version of this report is from Syngenta Italia.
