Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and party sympathizers handed over cheques worth Rs 29 lakh to party’s J&K president Ravinder Raina for donation to PM CARES Fund at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
From Basohli, Dr Nirmal Singh, district president Col Maan Singh and others handed over cheques worth Rs 6 lakh to Ravinder Raina while from Akhnoor, former MLA Rajiv Sharma, J&K executive member Suresh Sharma, district general secretary Capt Shobha Ram and president Municipal Committee Surinder Sharma handed over cheques worth Rs 15 lakh. From Ward 41 in Jammu West, Sat Sharma, Ward 41 Councillor Sanjay Baru, district president Munish Khajuria and others handed over cheques worth Rs 2 lakh to J&K BJP president.

From Billawar Kandi, Kathua district president Raghunandan along with mandal president Subhash handed over cheque worth Rs 1.41 lakh to Ravinder Raina while Sham Langar and family handed over cheque worth Rs 2 lakh to Raina. From Satwari Mandal in Jammu, district president Vinay Gupta and others handed over cheques worth Rs 2 lakh to Raina while as president of Bawa Brahmdev Ji Dev Asthan committee, Chak Jandeli, Samba along with his team members including treasurer Suraj Mani Gupta, Rakesh Gupta and Vinod Gupta donated Rs 51000 to BJP president. Panun Kashmir leaders also handed over cheques worth Rs 26000 to Raina.
To support the efforts of the Government for combating the novel Coronavirus crisis and to provide relief to the affected, Pesticides Manufacturing Association, Samba donated Rs 3.50 lakh in PM CARES Fund through bank cheques which were handed over to SSP Samba at District Police Headquarters Samba. The pesticides units which have contributed are Gharda Chemicals, Shivalik Cropsciences, Indogulf Cropsciences, Godrej Agrovet, UPL, HPM Chemicals & Fertilizers, Rajdhani Petrochemicals and AB Chemical India.
Trikuta Kashmiri Samiti donated Rs 49,900 to the PM-CARES Fund to combat Coronavirus. The money was donated by 20 persons including J L Kaul, Dr O N Raina, Dr R L Handoo, Dr P K Hak, Dr Prithaba Hak, Prof Anil Ganjoo, Mohani Sher, Vinay Handoo, M L Matoo, Dr R K Khosa, Dr Vijay Wali, Prof Phoola Karihaloo, H L Karihloo, Dr A K Chandra, Yoginder Saproo, Vinod Wali, Sunila Khosa, R K Kakroo, Nain Kaul and Kewal Sher, and deposited in SBI branch at railway station road here.
Dr Rajinder Kumar Sharma contributed Rs 21000 for PM CARES Fund. He presented cheque of the donated amount to former Minister and senior BJP leader Bali Bhagat at Swastik Nursing Home, Janipur, where the Minister also honoured doctors and paramedical staff.
