Rallis India informed that it has commenced safe shutdown of activities at its manufacturing operations located at Lote (in Maharashtra), Ankleshwar and Dahej (in Gujarat) effective from Tuesday, 24 March 2020 in a bid to fight COVID-19 pandemic.
As per the directives imposed by the local Panchayat/Municipal Corporation/State/Central Government authorities, Rallis India has suspended activities at its manufacturing operations located at Lote (in Maharashtra), Ankleshwar and Dahej (in Gujarat) effective from Tuesday, 24 March 2020.
The duration of this shutdown is uncertain at this point in time and the resumption of operations at these locations will depend upon the directives issued by the respective Government authorities, the company stated in its exchange filing after trading hours, 24 March 2020.
The firm also added that the Government approvals and availability of manpower is being closely monitored to explore the feasibility of advancing the annual shutdown for repairs and maintenance of the plants which was scheduled in the first week of April, 2020.
