India CIBRC 413rd meeting: 35 TC and 56 Formulation registrations got approved, Bio-pesticides occupied more than half

The Indian Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) approved 35 registrations of pesticide technical and 56 formulation products at the meeting of the Registration Committee in March, 2020, including 18 herbicides, 15 insecticides/acaricides, 10 fungicides and 48 bio-pesticides. Bio-pesticides occupied more than half this time.
For registration type, 20 bio-pesticides products got 9(3b) extension of validity period of provisional certificate of registration for one year.
As to the holders, Syngenta India Ltd. got the most 4 registrations, Deccan Fine Chemical (India) Pvt. Ltd., Microplex India, Pratik Industries, T. Stanes and Company Ltd., Vasantdada Sugar Institute got 3 registrations respectively; for product, Trichoderma viride WP(1.0%, 1.5%) got the most 12 registrations.

9 (3)*: registration only for export, belongs to 9(3) registrations
9(3) registrations: This guideline is for registering a new pesticide (technical grade or formulation) or registering a new import source of technical grade pesticide or first time indigenous manufacture of technical grade pesticide or formulation. This is a permanent registration and does not require any renewal.
9(4) registrations: This is Me-too registration for indigenous manufacture of technical grade pesticide and formulations and import of pesticides from already registered source.
