Bruno Baranne, President of Syngenta France SAS, was elected as the President of the French Crop Protection Association (UIPP) following the General Assembly on June 21, 2019. He succeeded Nicolas Kerfant, who had been in office since 2015.
A career in the service of agriculture, Baranne graduated from the National Agronomic School of Rennes (AgroCampus Ouest, 1980) and from the Center for Business Improvement of the Toulouse Business School current Toulouse Business School in 2008.
He has assumed various commercial and management responsibilities in France and Europe (notably in Spain) in several multinationals in the agro-industry. He joined the Syngenta France group in 2002 as Director of commercial seed operations and then as Agro Commercial Director in 2010. In October 2012, he took responsibility for the Commercial Operations Department of Syngenta Agro SAS France, where he was appointed as President in February 2018.
With a strong commitment to the sector, at 59, Baranne has been elected president of the UIPP, where he will develop a collaborative and constructive approach with all of the stakeholders.

Responding to the needs of the agricultural sector, the member companies of the UIPP work daily to develop innovative and plural solutions for a more responsible and environmentally friendly agriculture.
