Frank Gemmer appointed General Manager of IVA

Frank Gemmer (55) will head the German agrochemical industry association, Industrieverband Agrar e. V. (IVA), and Dr. Dietrich Pradt, General Manager of the IVA, will retire in the middle of the year.

Gemmer is managing director of ADAMA Deutschland GmbH, based in Cologne, and has 30 years of experience in the crop protection industry. Gemmer has been a member of the IVA's Plant Protection Board since 2017 and has been very familiar with the association's various areas of focus for years.

“Agriculture is in the middle of a fundamental change. In this way, which is not always easy, the IVA must communicate our position through dialogue with politics and the society more than ever. I am pleased that we were able to win over Frank Gemmer, an experienced agricultural professional for this challenging task,” said IVA President, Dr. Manfred Hudetz.
