During the month of November 2010, China imported 2,685 tons of pesticides, up 85.2% year on year, consisting of 363 tons for insecticides, up by 371.7%; 827 tons for fungicides, up by 87.6%; 565 tons for herbicides, up by 37.1%. The export volume of pesticides technical was 63,023 tons, up 48.7% year on year .Excepting non-retail insecticides, the sale volumes for other categories posted increase of more than 10%, particularly the non-retail herbicides, which soared by 77.0%.
The cumulative imports volume for the period of January to November was 46,706 tons, grown by 20.5% year on year, of which 41.2% came from herbicides. The cumulative exports volume was 545,251 tons, grown by 29.4%. It is expected that China will create a new exports record of over 600,000 tons, consisting of 22.1% for insecticides, 10.7% for fungicides and 59.6% for herbicides.
The export prices for pesticides maintain the rising trend. The average FOB for insecticides, fungicides and herbicides were 4,200 dollar/ton, 4,298 dollar/ton and 2,316 dollar/ton respectively.
