The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture approved, on 28th February, the registration of 32 agrochemicals for industrial use.
The products, the first to be approved in 2020, will be used as raw materials in the preparation of pesticides for farmers.
All agrochemicals, which had their authorizations published in the “Official Gazette,” are generic pesticides already registered in Brazil, also known as “equivalent technical products.”
“It is important to note that none of these 32 registered products will be available for purchase by farmers because they are technical products. There was also no registration of any product containing an active ingredient unknown in Brazil,” explained Bruno Breitenbach (General Coordinator of Pesticides of the Ministry of Agriculture).
The list released by the Ministry of Agriculture includes the following active ingredients:
Azoxystrobin (2 records)
Chlorothalonil (1 records)
Methoxyfenozide (6 records)
Mesotrione (1 records)
Fipronil (8 records)
Metribuzin (2 records)
Gibberellic acid (1 records)
Indoxacarb (1 records)
Kinetin (1 records)
