In Brazil, Prentiss launched the Camp-D herbicide (2,4-D + Picloram) for pasture weed control, with a type of soluble concentrate formulation and registration number 10511 granted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa).
According to Prentiss, it is a selective action systemic herbicide that also has bacteriostatic action. Its composition is 2,4-D (from the aryloxyalkanoic acid group, 240g / L acid equivalent) and Picloram (from the 64g / L acid equivalent pyridinecarboxylic acid group).
According to the manufacturer, the product is also recommended for the control of weeds in rice. The package leaflet recommends the use of Camp-D against weeds such as Digitaria horizontalis, Digitaria sanguinalis, Cyperus luzulae, Eragrostis ciliaris, Panicum fasciculatum, Eleusine indica, Spigelia anthelmia, Fimbristylis dichotoma, Sida rhombifolia, Physalis angulata, Cyperus feraxat, Sida acuta and Melampumararuta divaricatum.
Prentiss pointed out that the Camp-D herbicide is meant to control undesirable arboreal, shrub and sub-bushy dicotyledonous in pastures. It is also recommended for the eradication of eucalyptus stumps in reforming forest areas.
