The Brazilian multinational, Ubyfol, launched its new liquid packaging line, as part of a project that began in the second half of 2018, which aims to identify the needs of producers.
In an exclusive interview with AgroPages, Carlos Landerdahl, Ubyfol Marketing Director, explained the details of the new packaging, from its modernized labels to the adoption of colored caps.
What will Ubyfol's new liquid packaging look like? What are its features and advantages?
The changes made are based on the needs of farmers and are intended primarily to facilitate day-to-day product identification in the field. The project includes upgrading the Ubyfol portfolio, through the renewal of every product brand. During this phase, every product was allocated its own color, which will enable us to associate it with a performance concept and facilitate its identification during everyday use.
The modernization of labels and the adoption of colored caps in our 10 major liquid products will make it easier to organize information and enable faster handling in the field, as well as improve competitiveness and value in an increasingly demanding distribution market.
Technical packaging standards, such as size and shape, will remain the same, as our current models are adapted to existing field requirements. Ubyfol currently offers 1, 5 and 20 liter bypasses, and all of its 20 liter gallons are produced at its own industrial unit while its other models are purchased by other suppliers. Our daily production capacity of high density polyethylene is 2,200 gallons, and this process uses an average of 65% virgin raw materials and 35% recycled materials originating from burr.
How does the new liquid packaging make applications easier?
The new packaging organizes and presents information, such as technical product information, recommendations, instructions for transport and use, and other important information related to health and safety, the environment, people and animals, better. Those responsible for applications on crops also have better access to information on the correct handling of the application grout.
What is Ubyfol preparing for this year? What are your projections for next year?
In addition to our liquid packaging, which was launched during the ANDAV Congress in São Paulo, we will continue our project to update our product line, which includes buckets, boxes, bales and special labels, which will be finished by December.
The second stage will begin in the first half of 2020, when we will update our packaging for soluble powder products.
In 2020, the third stage of the project will also begin. We will redesign our foreign packaging, starting with our Spanish-labeled products distributed in Paraguay. This will have a major influence on Ubyfol's annual media plan and national event strategies, where packaging will feature in all projects.
