Great Minds in STEM™ is an organization that seeks to highlight and honor the achievements of America’s best and brightest Latin and Hispanic executives and professionals in the United States. The GMiS HENAAC Conference is the nation’s most prestigious stage for building and reinforcing networks and honoring excellence. The place where top executives, innovative professionals, and the brightest STEM students convene to address a broad array of topics.

“This is a great honor for Alejandro and for Corteva Agriscience,” said Tim Glenn, Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer for Corteva Agriscience. “Much of the success our company enjoys today can be attributed to Alejandro and changes he implemented in how we serve customers in different markets. His unique grasp of differing cultures has influenced how Corteva Agriscience is represented and serves customers around the world.”

Muñoz, a native of Costa Rica who has worked for Corteva for 38 years, is part of the 31st class of award-winning leaders recognized by GMiS. The Executive Excellence Award recognizes upper-level executives with more than 20 years of experience in leading large departments with budget responsibilities. Honorees are evaluated based on their level of expertise and achievements in their position as well as involvement with the Hispanic community.

Nominated by Glenn, Muñoz was one of 26 awardees honored this year in twelve categories, by a selection committee composed of industry, academic and government professionals. Nominees undergo a rigorous, highly respected review process and award winners are recognized each fall at the HENAAC Conference.
