According to the customs, the value of Chinese imports of pesticides in third quarter 2010 was $78.615 million, up 18.4%, year on year. The import volume was 132,000 tons, up 15%. The cumulative import for the first three quarters was $350 billion, up 25.9%, and volume was 42,000 tons up 15.9%.
By product categories, first three quarters imports volumes were 6,753.7 tons for insecticides, up 1.2% year on year; 11,200 tons for fungicides, up 9.92%; 18,300 tons for herbicides and plant growth regulators, up 20.6%.
