Engage Agro USA appointed U.S. distributor of Neudorffs Fiesta turf herbicide

New bioherbicide product is now available for turf managers, lawn care operators and grounds maintenance professionals across the United States thanks to a distribution agreement recently finalized between Engage Agro USA and German-based Neudorff.

Under a new distribution agreement, German-based Neudorff has assigned exclusive distribution rights to Engage Agro USA to market its new bioherbicide, Fiesta Turf Weed Killer, for all U.S. professional turf markets. The distribution agreement allows Neudorff to expand on the successful 2010 Canadian launch of its new iron-based broadleaf weed killer, Fiesta, into the United States. For Engage Agro USA, Fiesta, is the latest addition to an expanding product portfolio that provides unique crop protection and nutritional solutions to agricultural, turf and ornamental markets in the United States.

According to Trevor Thorley, President, “Fiesta Turf Weed Killer is a bioherbicide that is a great alternative to traditional synthetic chemical weed control products like 2,4-D. Fiesta is made from iron and provides exceptionally fast control of broadleaf weeds under a wide range of temperatures. It even works in cool temperatures as low as 45 degrees.”

Fiesta was registered and approved for use in Ontario, Canada in April 2010 and was quickly incorporated into weed control programs by Ontario professional turf and lawn care companies with excellent results. Cameron Wilson, Vice President of Neudorffs North American Operations notes that “Due to the provinces cosmetic pesticides ban which went into effect on Earth Day, April 22, 2009, Ontario residents, landscapers and lawn care operators were left with few choices to control tough weeds in lawns, parks, school grounds, playing fields and golf courses. Fiesta was used with great success in Ontario in 2010 to control cosmetic weeds. Fiesta provides fast broadleaf weed control while allowing re-entry to treated sites by golfers, children and pets once the spray has dried. We are very excited about our partnership with Engage Agro USA and look forward to working closely with Trevor Thorley and his team in launching the new bioherbicide Fiesta into key U.S. markets.”
