China's fertilizer import increased by 32.4% and export up by 75.9% in Julyqrcode

China exported 2.82 million tons of fertilizer in July, the largest monthly export volume in 2019, up by 32.4 percent year-on-year and 42.4 percent month-on-month, according to the latest statistics released by China Customs.
 
From January to July, China exported 14.96 million tons of chemical fertilizer with the export value at 4.2 billion USD, seeing a year-on-year increase of 28.2% and 28.8% respectively.  
 
The export of the main fertilizers have all seen a significant increase compared with the previous year, except for the NPK which had a slight drop of 1.1%. In July 2019, China exported a total of 270,000 tons of urea, 880,000 tons of diammonium phosphate (DAP) and 26,000 tons of potassium sulfate, up by 159.6%, 5.4% and 3214.9% respectively from the same period of last year.

On the aspects of import, China imported 951,000 MT of fertilizers in July, seeing a year-on-year growth of 75.9%. In the first seven months, China imported 7.53 million tons of fertilizer with the import value at 2.4 billion USD, increasing by 74.2% and 44% respectively from the previous year.
 
Potassium chloride is the major fertilizer imported in China. In July, China imported 860,000 tons of potassium chloride, up by 187.6% year on year. From January to July, a total of 6.29 million tons were imported, up by 32.6% year-on-year.
