The OCP Group, a global market leader of phosphate and its derivatives, and Bioline by InVivo, through its subsidiary SMAG, which is specialized in smart agriculture, signed Monday in Casablanca a cooperation agreement.
The agreement will enable the two groups to combine efforts for the development of digital agtech solutions, said a joint statement issued by the OCP Group and Bioline by Invivo.
The agreement will help farmers adopt good agricultural practices and improve their performance by using personalized digital solutions depending on specific regions and soils, it added.
According to Marouane Amezian, OCP Executive Vice President Strategy & Corporate Development, the alliance with Bioline is a continuation of the group’s action for sustainable global agriculture through the promotion of good agricultural practices, particularly in terms of reasoned fertilization.
OCP is the largest phosphate producer in the world and a leading global fertilizer player, backed by a century of production history.
OCP employs approximately 21,000 people and contributes to regional development through its mining and fertilizer operations, and through its sustainability program.
