Acil Cotton Industries said that it has decided to scale up its fertilisers, pesticides and agro-based chemicals retail business by setting up 125 stores across the country.
"The company will sell this product under (its) own brand and other well known brands as well," ACIL Cotton Industries said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange.
The company will help the farmers to get more benefit from business, it added.
ACIL already has four retail stores and is now planning to set up 125 stores in the next three-four months time.
"This chain of retail stores will help company to distribute this product effectively and get more profit out of it," the filing said.
Besides this, the company is also in the business of contract farming. It is cultivating different crops in 350 acres and has plans to acquire 2,500 acres of land for its organic contract farming activity.
