On June 20, 2019, The European Union has announced Commission Regulation amending Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to maximum residue levels (MRLs) for pesticides in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin.
MRLs for pesticides in certain products
The changes and amendments in the Commission Regulations (EU) relate to the MRLs for pesticide residues of aminopyralid, captan, cyazofamid, flutianil, kresoxim-methyl, lambda-cyhalothrin, mandipropamid, pyraclostrobin, spiromesifen, spirotetramat, teflubenzuron and tetraconazole in or on certain products.
Transition arrangements
This Regulation provides a transition arrangement for the normal marketing, processing and consumption of products which have been produced before the modification of the MRLs, and for which the available information demonstrates that a high level of consumer protection is maintained. Therefore, Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 are amended in accordance with the Annex to Regulation (EU) 2019/1015, with effect on the twentieth day following that its publication on June 20, 2019.
