Plant Health Care (AIM: PHC), a leading provider of naturally derived products to the agriculture and horticulture industries, announces that it has formed a distribution agreement with Sym-Agro for Sym-Agro to distribute PHC products including Myconate and Harpin in the Western United States under the trade names Employ, Pretect, Colonize AG and Myconate. Going forward, Sym-Agro will be a primary distributor for PHC and provide support to other distributors in those regions.

John Brady, CEO of Plant Health Care, commented: “Partnering with Sym-Agro will give Plant Health Care’s products instant access to a new set of markets in the Western US and is an indication of the drive and ambition we have for our products. The proven track record of the management team at Sym-Agro and the commitment they have to our products makes for a perfect fit with Plant Health Care.”

Peter Bierma, President and CEO of Sym-Agro said: “We are very pleased to be able to add the Plant Health Care products to our growing portfolio; not only do we consider them to be great value for growers, they fit well into the growing trend for sustainable products. The yield and quality data for these products on key crops such as potatoes, snap beans, onions and tree fruits impressed us and we feel there will be strong demand in the Western US.”

With the addition of these products to Sym-Agro’s growing portfolio, Plant Health Care will be positioned to provide a more comprehensive line of products that represent true value-added opportunities for our customers. This agreement follows on from Plant Health Care’s established UK and South African presence in potatoes, cherries and alfalfa.
