Seipasa, a Spanish firm that specialises in the development and manufacture of biopesticides, biostimulants and fertilizers for agriculture, has launched its new catalogue of products for the Peruvian market. The Spanish company has signed a distribution agreement with Agritop Peru, a company specialising in plant nutrition and dedicated to offering technical advice and the supply of inputs for agricultural production.
The presentation event was held in Piura, Peru, with the presence of the technical and commercial teams of the two companies. There, Seipasa launched its catalogue of solutions, which will begin to be distributed through Agritop's commercial network in Peru.
These products are registered in the National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA), with a high component of technological innovation and are aimed at becoming high value-added tools for Peruvian producers. In the coming months, this catalogue will be expanded with new solutions that are in the process of registration.
José Luis Egas, commercial director of Seipasa-LATAM, highlighted the value of Seipasa's natural technology in the development of new solutions for the production of food without chemical residues. "Seipasa has 20 years of experience in the manufacture of products from substances of botanical and microbiological origin. Our concept of natural technology is perfectly represented in these commercial references. We are committed to rational and sustainable use of phytosanitary solutions, which allows us to respect the environment, auxiliary fauna and people's health", claimed Egas.
Segundo Weisson, commercial manager of Agritop Peru, said that Seipasa "is a strategic supplier for growth in the medium and long term with its biotechnology and biocontrol solutions". Weisson added that the objective of the two companies in the Peruvian market is "to grow significantly with the needs of customers, offering biological solutions that conform to current market requirements, i.e. products without residues and with high efficacy in the control of pests and diseases".
Market expansion
With this move together with Agritop, Seipasa extends and strengthens its presence in the Peruvian market. The Spanish company already has Fungisei, a biofungicide registered against powdery mildew and botrytis, and distributed by the Montana company. A few months ago, Seipasa announced the creation of new international business units. Among them is the LATAM unit, headquartered in Quito, Ecuador, under the direction of José Luis Egas.
