On 16th July, Jiangsu Polychem Biological Agriculture Company released its revolutionary herbicide Qiuyi in China’s Shandong Province, which is an isoproturon.pretilachlor.halosulfuron-methyl 47% wettable powder for control of wheat field resistant weeds and overall worst weeds.
The product Qiuyi contains exclusively certified ingredients. A one-off application protects wheat fields to be free of weeds throughout the entire season. The Qiuyi is positioned to reach Yuan100 million sales for a single product, which will be of great market potential.
Qiuyi was granted registration by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in 2016, followed by 3-year field trials in China, before being released to the market. Qiuyi has four distinctive features: 1) High safety. Its use at recommended doses has no impact on wheat emergence and early-stage growth, to be applied before cold weather, which is a proper time for application; 2) Broad herbicidal spectrum. It can both block weeds and kill weeds, to be used for control of wheat beckmannia, alopecurus japonicas, foxtail, aegilops tauschii, bromegrass, bluegrass, chickweed, malachium aquaticum, flixweed and shepherd’s purse; 3) Wide period for application. It is applicable beginning from plantation up to 4-5-leaf stage; 4) Long lasting effect. It lasts as long as 2-3 months, which ensures effective control of weed damage during the wheat growth period, with just a one-off application.
