Corteva Agriscience launched the Cordius™ seed licensing brand, which will provide high-throughput genetics to partner multipliers. The company is currently working with two of its own brands: Pioneer®, traditionally known for its personalized work with the rural producer, and Brevant™, which was born in February 2018, aimed at farmers who prefer to buy their inputs from distributors and cooperatives.

"Cordius™ will complete the Corteva Agriscience soybean performance strategy. We have the most complete package of solutions, from the development of the best products to the treatment of seeds, and now offer soy varieties in the germplasm licensing model with high performance genetics. We will use Corteva's full research potential to offer our seeds to selected partners to multiply and market these products," said Roberto Hun, president of Corteva Agriscience for Brazil and Paraguay.

"With Corteva entering this market, we will give special attention to the soybean seed multiplier segment, delivering a suite of solutions that includes high performance genetics, seed treatment and access to the new biotechnology, Enlist™. With this new business, Corteva will offer synergy opportunities to exclusive partners," pointed out Christian Meyer Pflug, Leader of Latin America Seed Treatment and Leader Enlist Brazil and Paraguay at Corteva Agriscience.

The announcement proves that Corteva is committed to being a trendsetting enterprise that caters to the wishes of rural producers and also to consumers and the future of the next generation. "Cordius™'s proposal aims at working with only reputable partners, delivering excellence in germplasm and a business model that generates maximized profitability for the entire chain, recognizing the value of the multiplier. The Corteva Agriscience licensing brand is born with a completely renewed portfolio; there are eight varieties that already have significant results in the main producing regions," said Frederico Barreto, Seed Marketing Leader at Corteva Agriscience in Brazil.
