Nortox celebrated 65 years of being in business in 2019, while announcing product launches and its new growth strategy. As it has been doing for the last two years, the company will continue to increase its efforts to expand its business in Latin America.
"In 2018, Nortox released four new pesticides available to the national market. In the first quarter of 2019 four more launches occurred, with differentiated formulations and registrations, even in the generic segment, and we will still have more news for 2019 in our 3 platforms of action, which are agricultural pesticides, plant nutrition and seeds," said Nortox's Marketing Manager Guilherme Acquarole.
Nortox exclusively unveiled to AgroPages the launch of Flutriafol Nortox, which will be made available to all agricultural producing regions in Brazil via distribution channels in the second half of the year. Flutriafol is a systemic fungicide of the triazole chemical group, with agronomic efficiencies already known by Brazilian researchers, consultants and farmers in the management of fungal diseases in their crops.
"Reaffirming our commitment to innovation, even while operating in the generic pesticides segment, Flutriafol Nortox has a concentration four times higher than traditional market products, in an exclusive concentrated suspension formulation, with 500 grams of active ingredient per liter of product," said Acquarole.
He points out that the purpose is to offer greater efficiency and improved "cost-benefits" for the Brazilian farmer, since the product allows a dose reduction per hectare in the applications, a much more efficient logistics process and less discarding of packaging in the field, consequently having fewer packages for return and recycling at the end of the operation and providing a more sustainable process, as a whole.
Acquarole also points out that Flutriafol Nortox will have a wide range of registered crops, providing the farmer with flexibility in the management of fungal diseases in cotton, oats, banana, potato, coffee, beans, papaya, melon, soybean and tomato crops.
"Concurrent to this launch, we inform you that our investment in Research and Development of new formulations and exclusive blends of active ingredients for the domestic market continues. We work daily, so that in 2019 we will have four more product launches. We appreciate the trust of our distributors across the country and, especially, the farmer. For 65 years together, we have evolved with Brazilian agriculture ", noted Acquarole.
EXPANSION
The expansion strategy for the Latin American market led the company to start operations in Paraguay in 2018. By 2019, the goal is to begin selling in Chile, as well. The company Commercial Director, João Marcos Ferrari, points out that the expansion should take place in a planned and organized method, always taking into account that the gains can also result from the exchange of technologies with other countries.
"After more than six decades focused exclusively on the Brazilian market, the time has come for Nortox to bring to farmers in other Latin American countries their great traditions and know-how in quality formulations," said Ferrari.
