CropTrak updates brand to reflect unique map-centric platform

CropTrak, a software solutions provider dedicated to helping companies reliant on agriculture for business success to remotely collect and actualize in-field data, has introduced a new brand identity.

Featuring the geo-location icon amid crop leaves, the new logo better reflects the company's platform that enables in-field data collection anywhere in the world. Offering mobile and web applications designed to track data from seed to fork, CropTrak redesigned the brand to connect with the growing importance for data visibility when it comes to raw materials sourced from farms.

"Since our founding, we have been dedicated to enabling convenient, secure acquisition of in-field data even in the most remote locations and harshest environments," said Jonathan Sherrill, vice president, global business development and sales. "Our focus now is on helping companies that rely on production agriculture to easily collect audit and report real-time in-field data and we believe this new brand identity is better aligned with that mission."

Founded in 2009 as Cogent3D, Inc. by a team of serial entrepreneurs who successfully launched, operated, and sold a 3D military GIS software company, CropTrak was initially introduced as software growers could use to record agronomic data. Sherrill said these roots in secure, remote data collection and agronomics formed the foundation for the new enterprise-level mobile and web applications designed for food and agribusiness companies.

"For enterprises reliant on agriculture production for their business success, data visibility is critical," Sherrill explained. "Agriculture supply chains are complex and data rich. We have leveraged our collective expertise to offer companies the opportunity to collect data remotely on mobile devices, with or without internet service, and to manage that data to meet their unique verification and reporting needs. Our applications don't require coding expertise and are compatible with ERP systems, so they are easy to use and customize."
