Albaugh announces the agronomist Cesar Rojas as the company's new president in Brazil. Rojas also presides over Albaugh of Argentina. The executive has more than 30 years of experience in agribusiness in Latin America. He went through big companies in the sector and knows in depth the Brazilian crop protection market, where he has worked for 16 years. According to the company's board, Albaugh Brasil and Albaugh Argentina remain autonomous and independent companies.
According to Albaugh Brasil, the change in the Presidency does not alter plans of the company specialized in post-patent agrochemicals. Albaugh points out that the planned investments will be maintained and the group expects to launch at least 18 new products in the coming years, 6 of them still in 2019.
"The goal of Albaugh is to be perceived as the leading company in the preference of the Brazilian farmer in the area of post-patent agri-inputs," said the statement released by the company.
Albaugh arrived in Brazil about four years ago and is already among the fastest growing companies in the agrochemical sector.
Founded in the United States in 1979, the company operates in 4 continents. Albaugh produces and distributes a broad portfolio of post-patent agrochemicals suitable for major agricultural crops, such as soybeans, corn, cotton and sugar cane, among others.
