Sumitomo Chemical launched new rice herbicide Maslao in Japan

JapanSumitomo Chemical began marketing the first and middle-term single-shot herbicide Maslao, which registered in last December.
Maslao is a three-component mixture containing imazosulfuron of Sumitomo Chemical, pyriminobac-methyl and fenquinotrione of Kumiai Chemical. It can be used for transplanted rice and direct seeded rice, and it supports various spraying methods.
“In order to meet the diverse needs of growers, we now have three-in-one formulation (1 kg granules, flowable, jumbo). In addition, the incorporation of the novel active ingredient "fenquinotrione" exerts a high effect on Holthai, Konagi, Mizuaoi and Omodaka including SU resistant weeds,” commented Sumitomo Chemical.
