Life Scientific, the off-patent crop protection manufacturer based in Dublin, continues its ambitious expansion plans with the appointment of a Supply Chain Director.

Christine Robertson brings a wealth of experience to this new role within Life Scientific having previously worked in the supply organisations at both Bayer Crop Science and NuFarm. Her responsibility will be to set up a completely new supply chain structure.

During her twenty-four years at Bayer, Ms Robertson held the positions of Supply Chain Manager for Germany, Africa and the Middle East prior to taking over the role of Site Logistics Manager based in France for one of Bayer’s biggest formulation plants. More recently, she held the role of Global Process Lead Supply Planning for NuFarm.

The vision of Life Scientific CEO Nicola Mitchell for €100m global sales by 2022 excites Ms Robertson who believes that by playing her part in setting up the very best supply chain capabilities she is well placed to help the company reach its ambitious goals.

“Life Scientific has a unique approach in the industry – no-one else is doing what they are in terms of reverse engineering. The firm’s ability to respond quickly and efficiently is a recipe for success, and one that really appeals to me.”

“From a supply chain perspective, Life Scientific is at a pivotal time in its growth and as it is still a small organization, we have all in hand to set up a best in class supply chain. “

“It is extremely energising to have the opportunity to set up what will be a highly professional customer-centric supply chain.”
