KALO, Inc., a leading supplier of specialty chemicals for the agricultural & specialty seed care markets, recently announced the hiring of Tim Tackes as Western Area Manager & Key Account Specialist. Tim will be based in Stevensville, Montana and will serve the states of Montana, Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
"Tim brings extensive experience with over 26-years in agricultural business development and territory management most recently focused on crop nutrient sales," stated Mike Edens, Western Regional Business Manager for KALO. "In his capacity, he will be responsible for supporting key customers in the Pacific Northwest U.S. region while working directly with customer's field sales representatives and coordinating communications with customer management personnel.
"While we expect Tim to be instrumental in support of key adjuvant customers, we are also confident of Tim's potential to help build our KALO Seed Care business, which is part of a strategic alliance between KALO and AGRILEAD, Inc. of Russell, KS," noted Edens. "Having first-hand experience as a custom applicator and Certified Crop Advisor/Agronomist, Tim brings a diverse range of work experience to our organization."

Tackes' work experience in agriculture has been diverse, having worked for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, later as a Certified Crop Advisor/Sales Agronomist, Supervisor of over 20 employees while serving as Agronomy Division Manager and most recently as a Wholesale Crop Nutrient Account Manager for Western Montana and PNW region serving both co-op and independent accounts.
Tim earned his Bachelor of Science in Business with a Minor in Applied Agriculture Technology at Northern Montana College in Havre, Montana.
