Rallis' quarterly profits zoom

IndiaRallis India recorded sales of Rs 2,016.4 million ($51.2 million) for its third quarter ended December 31st 2007, up by 8.3% on the same quarter in the previous year. Profit before tax leaped by 66.8% to Rs 166.8 million. Sales for the nine months to December 2007 went up by 9.4% to Rs 6,050.9 million over the corresponding period in 2006. Rallis launched a new insecticide, Takumi (Nihon Nohyaku's flubendiamide), in December and is also setting up two new production units.
