Makhteshim, Monsanto fight weed resistance

The deal will enable farmers who use Makhteshim Agan crop protection products to benefit from Roundup Ready PLUS programs, such as Cotton Performance Plus. These products, combined with glyphosate, offer multiple modes of action to combat weeds that have developed resistance to glyphosate. Used together, the multiple molecules also can reduce the risk of developing weed resistance.

Makhteshims share price rose 0.3% in early trading to NIS 16.72.
