NovoGold Seeds acquires Zuari Seed Division Field Crops Business

Novogold Seeds Pvt Ltd (NGSPL) Pune taken over the field crops and vegetable crops business of Zuari Agro (Seed Division) on 24th January 2019. The deal closed with the formal ceremony of signing the agreement at Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd Pune office on same day. From NGSPL Mr. Nath Raut, Managing Director and Dr. Santosh Taware, Executive Director (NGSPL) and Mr. Vijay Kunte, Chief Manager (ZACL- Seeds Division) were present to complete the formality of this take over. The discussion was going on since last couple of months and finally deal closed with the better interest of both the parties said Natha Raut.

 

Novogold Seeds Pvt Ltd (NGSPL) is an emerging seeds company based in scientific hub of India, Pune and have its business operations in Central and South India. NGSPL have strong research base because of its both directors Mr. Natha Raut and Dr. Santosh Taware belongs to agriculture. NGSPL started its operations in 2015-16 and registered its business in early 2017. With the short time of 02 years, NGSPL spread over its business in 05 states of India. The company have focused research on Maize, Fodder, Cotton and few Vegetable crops. NGSPL have its Vegetable Research Station over 20 acres area at Pune and Field Crops Research & Trialing station over 122 acres at Phaltan, Dist Satara near Pune. Dr. Santosh Taware, an eminent name in Indian seed industry leading the operations of company in capacity of Executive Director. Novogold Seeds single cross maize Hybrid, multicut sorghum, single cut sorghum, multicut pearl millet, wheat, okra, etc are became very popular brands within a short period said Dr. Santosh Taware. He added that the In-house research is the key for the success in short span of time and the efforts of R&D and Product Development team are noticeable. The research team efforts since 2015 finally proved for successful commercial launching of Maize, Fodder and vegetable seed products said Dr. Santosh.
