Rotam CropSciences Appoints Calvin Lu as Vice General Manager for China Region

Hong KongRotam CropSciences Limited, a global agrochemical company, has appointed Calvin Lu as Vice General Manager of Commercial and Smart Agriculture for China region. The appointment supports the company’s strategy to innovate in technologies that helps bring values and quality products to growers.
In this position, Calvin will be responsible for managing the business operation of China region, which is one of the key markets for Rotam. He will lead the sales teams of Crop Protection, Crop Nutrition & Health, and Seed Treatment to fuel growth and innovation. He will be based in Kunshan, Jiangsu.
“Smart agriculture is an important strategic move for Rotam to develop sustainability,” said James Bristow, Rotam Chief Executive Officer. “We believe that Calvin’s experience in smart agriculture will help drive the application of innovative knowledge and solutions to address the increasing demand for agricultural productivity and optimal resource utilization.”
Calvin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Simon Fraser University, Canada. After graduation, he joined Rotam Group to take up various management roles in different Rotam entities. In 2016, he established Rotrasat Technology Co., Ltd. that supports the development of intelligent agriculture using space technology.
