In January, the CABB Group’s Pratteln site in Switzerland earned a 2019 Gold Scorecard from auditor EcoVadis for responsible corporate conduct – the highest possible rating for CSR management. Back in 2017, the CABB site in Kokkola, Finland also achieved a Gold Scorecard.
EcoVadis assessed the site on behalf of the Together for Sustainability (TfS) initiative, which was founded in 2011 by a group of chemical companies with the aim of evaluating, auditing and improving sustainability practices in suppliers’ value chains. The gold rating in CSR puts CABB in the top six percent of chemical industry companies audited by EcoVadis.
“This certification makes our sustainable and responsible corporate governance transparent to customers, investors and other stakeholders. It is thus an important argument in terms of qualification, and differentiation from competitors,” explains Dr. Thomas Eizenhöfer, Head of the Custom Manufacturing Business Unit. “The outstanding result at both sites encourages us to continue to persistently implement our sustainability strategy for the benefit of our customers, our company, and the society we act in.”
